SPR stands for ‘Stephanie Preston Recruitment’, which is owned and managed by its founder – Stephanie Preston-Hargrave.

Stephanie has worked in recruitment for over 8 years and in February 2001 she set up SPR. Her company was set up after working in the commercial business sector of recruitment and identifying a service gap for those businesses looking for good marketing staff and considered quality of candidates far more important than quantity. Further research identified the need for a niche sector recruitment consultancy for professional service firms looking to hire experienced marketing staff.

SPR has a good reputation in this specialist area of recruitment and works with some well-known clients. Rather than trying to be ‘all things to all people’ we only operate in the North and work in partnership with a few select companies. However, our candidate database has a range of marketing professionals, from assistant to director level, with knowledge and experience gained in the professional services sector.

We have grown to become a leading player in this specific area of recruitment and a lot of this is based on Stephanie’s networking skills and membership to relevant organisations.

Relevant Qualifications & Networks

Stephanie is married to Chris and has two young daughters, Katie and Emma, who keep her busy outside of work. In her spare time Stephanie loves French jive and Salsa dancing as well as camping with her family (when time and weather allow). You would definitely describe her as energetic!! She also has a healthy appreciation of good red wine!
